10/12/2012 WOD

TODAY'S WORKOUT IS A HERO WOD. THIS HAS SPECIAL MEANING TO ME BECAUSE THE DATE SIGNIFIES SO MANY DIFFERENT THINGS TO ME.

THE HERO WOD IS "GLEN"

30 CLEAN AND PRESS (USED 115#)

1 MILE RUN

10 ROPE CLIMBS

1 MILE RUN

100 BURPEES

FINISHED IN A TIME OF 38:40

(MODIFIED ROPE CLIMB, PLACED FEET ON ELEVATED BOX AND PULLED MYSELF UP TO A STANDING POSITION WITH THE ROPE, HOPEFULLY I WILL GET BETTER AT ROPE CLIMBS SOON)

NOW AS TO WHY THIS HERO WOD IS NAMED "GLEN"...

Former U.S. Navy SEAL Glen Doherty, 42, of Winchester, Massachusetts, assigned to a State Department security detail in Benghazi, Libya, died in an attack on a U.S. consulate on September 11, 2012. He is survived by his parents, Ben and Barbara, sister Katie, and brother Greg.

Remember as with all HERO WODS keep pushing through, yes they are hard and test you physical and mental toughness but keep pushing, no matter how long it takes you....

TRAIN TO LIVE!!!
