TODAY'S WOD IS A 9/11 TRIBUTE WORKOUT...

ON SEPTEMBER 11, 2001 WE LOST "343" FIREFIGHTERS IN THE ATTACKS OF THE TWIN TOWERS. THIS WAS ONE OF THE WORST DAYS IN AMERICAN HISTORY, SO WE MUST NEVER FORGET.

THIS WOD IS BOTH MENTALLY AND PHYSICALLY TOUGH, BUT NOT NEARLY AS HARD AS IT WAS FOR THOSE BRAVE FIREFIGHTERS TO RESPOND TO THE TWIN TOWERS.

THIS IS A PARTNER WOD, BECAUSE WE ARE ALWAYS TOGETHER NO MATTER THE SITUATION. IT STARTS AND ENDS WITH 91 AIR SQUATS, THAT REPRESENT THE NUMBER OF FIRE APPARATUSES THAT WERE LOST THAT DAY. IN BETWEEN YOU WILL DO "343" REPS, ONE FOR EVERY FIREFIGHTER LOST THAT DAY..

AS ONE PARTNER IS WORKING ON THE REPS, THE OTHER IS HOLDING A WEIGHT (45# PLATE OR WEIGHT YOU AND YOUR PARTNER HAVE DECIDED ON) OVER THEIR HEAD SWITCHING WHEN TIRED, BECAUSE WE ARE ALWAYS WORKING. THE PLATE IS TO NEVER TOUCH THE GROUND. EVERY TIME YOU MUST PUT THE WEIGHT DOWN THERE WILL BE A 10 BURPEE PENALTY ADDED ON AT THE END, BECAUSE EVERYTHING HAS CONSEQUENCES...
