11-11-12 DAY 3 OF 6 WEEK CHALLENGE

WELL CONGRATS!! YOU MADE TO THE FIRST REST DAY IN OUR CHALLENGE. REST DAYS ARE A VERY IMPORTANT PART OF OUR TRAINING PROGRAM. THEY ALLOW US TO RECOVER FROM THE INTENSE PHYSICAL AND MENTAL GRIND WE HAVE BEEN PUTTING OUR BODIES THROUGH. SO GIVE YOURSELF A BIG SLAP ON THE BACK, BECAUSE REACHING THIS REST DAY IS ONE OF THE HARDEST IN MY OPINION. WHY YOU ASK? BECAUSE IT IS SO EASY FOR US TO JUST GIVE UP BEFORE GETTING HERE, SO IF YOU GOT HERE THAT MEANS YOU DID NOT GIVE UP AND HAVE PUSHED THROUGH...
 
 
NOW EVEN THOUGH IT IS A REST DAY THAT DOES NOT MEAN TO JUST LOUNGE AROUND AND DO NOTHING, OH NO!! MAKE IT A ACTIVE REST. GO FOR A WALK, TAKE A STROLL DOWN THE BEACH, TAKE THE KIDS OR DOG TO THE PARK. GO FISHING, GOLFING, PLAY A SPORT THAT YOU ABSOLUTELY LOVE TO PLAY. THE POINT HERE IS TO DO SOMETHING THAT TAKES YOUR MIND OFF OF THE TRAINING PROGRAM FOR A DAY, BUT AT THE SAME TIME YOU ARE STILL GETTING IN SOME FORM OF EXERCISE. TAKE A FRIEND DANCING, TAKE A DIP IN THE POOL, ALL OF THESE THINGS ARE FUN TO DO AND ARE GREAT EXERCISE. SO AGAIN, HAVE A REST DAY BUT MAKE IT A ACTIVE REST DAY!!!
